Happy birthday Lexie!

Your friendship has helped me grow, kept me grounded, lifted my spirit, and brightened my life. Thank you!

Today is the birthday of one of my best friends, and adopted sister, Lexie Williams. This is her first birthday in Heaven, and I am sure that Jesus is making it a true party. About 7 months ago, Lexie passed away due to lung failure, and the world hasn’t seemed the same since. When she was present on this earth, everything was brighter, happier, and more beautiful. Now, Lexie, I know you’re reading this from up there, so I know I have to be completely real here. This girl probably handled this hot mess better than anyone I’ve met before. She carted me around our co-op on her back as we waited for pizza, she let me take pictures of her gorgeous self even though in a lot of the pictures, you can tell she’s not happy about it XD, and she was also one of the only ones I got to fangirl about anything and everything with. Nothing will be able to replace the memories I hold of this dear girl, and no matter how many people try, they can never fit into the spot I hold for her in my heart.

Now, here’s something that might give you the impression that I’m a little bit crazy, or that I dream too much. (While both of those statements are true…) You’ve all heard nothing is impossible with God, right? That means nothing is too big for Him, He can do anything we ask Him to as long as it’s in His plan for us, and it’s His timing. What if I told you, that He’s been sending, not only me, but Lexie’s mom, my mom, and one of our family friends visions saying she was coming back. You’d probably say that’s insane, and they just happen because we miss her so much. Wait a minute though! I thought we just said N O T H I N G is impossible for God?! So why isn’t this? Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after four days, and God raised Jesus from the dead after three days. Similarities? God always had perfect timing.

I want to continue this discussion in a later post, but I thought that since it’s Lexie’s birthday, I’d give you all a little sneak peek at what’s to come. 😉

For now, happy birthday Lexie! I am filled with happiness that you’re celebrating your special day with Jesus, and I am also very jealous because I bet the cake there tastes heavenly. (Get it?)

Excelsior!
